The Guardian Angels Chapel

Is located in the North Retro Choir.

It has a painted ceiling dating from 1241, which shows angels peering down down at us through the windows in heaven.

Medieval angel heads dating from 1240 on the vault by Master William, the Kings Painter, restored in 1959 – 60.

In the chapel, stands a bronze of Richard Weston, and outside it a granite portrait of Aylmer de Valence, a medieval bishop holding a heart.
